The Three Smart Fishes

There was a small, peaceful pond surrounded by tall green plants and lily pads. Three little fish named Fin, Float, and Wave lived happily in this pond.

One sunny morning, the three fish friends woke up and swam to the surface. They were shocked to see their pond had nearly dried up completely!

"Oh no, there's barely any water left!" worried Float. "What should we do? We need to find a new home quick."

"Let's flop and splash our way out of here and try to find another pond," suggested Wave.

But Fin had a very clever idea. "Friends, if we all work together as a team, we can dig and make our very own new pond right here that will never dry up!"

So the three fish got to work. They used their strong tails and fins to dig into the earth, sloshing out mud and rocks. Fin showed them how to dig out the best shape.

Float and Wave kept scooping out more and more dirt. It was tiring, but finally their new fish pond was finished! They had made a nice big hole that lined up perfectly with the remaining trickle of water.

Their new pond was cool, clear, and surrounded by shiny pebbles and reeds. The three fish friends were amazed by what they could do with teamwork.

That night, heavy dark clouds gathered in the sky. Loud thunder rumbled as a big rainstorm poured down. The raging waters caused sudden floods everywhere.

The other fish from the nearly dried up pond had to swim frantically downstream to avoid the rising floods. But Fin, Float and Wave stayed safe and cozy in their new sturdy pond, which was protected from the rising waters.

The three clever fish cheered realizing that if they hadn't worked so hard together to dig their new pond, they would have been caught in the storm too! Their creativity, teamwork, and planning ahead had saved them.
