The Little Birdie
Join Little Birdie on a heartwarming journey as he learns to fly, with the encouragement of Mama Bird
One day a little birdie was trying to fly for the first time. Flap, flap, flap went his wings but he kept falling down. "Don't give up!" said Mama Bird. The little bird kept trying and finally he was able to fly up into the sky.
There was a nest tucked away in a tree that belonged to Mama Bird and her baby, Little Birdie. One sunny morning, Little Birdie woke up feeling excited. Today was the day he was going to try flying for the first time!
Little Birdie looked over the edge of the nest and saw the ground far below. It looked very scary! But flying was what all little birds learned to do.
"Don't be afraid," encouraged Mama Bird. "Flap your wings nice and steady. I know you can do it!"
Little Birdie took a deep breath and got ready. Flap, flap, flap, he started flapping his tiny wings as hard as he could. But he didn't lift off the nest. Flap, flap, flap, he tried again, flapping with all his might. But all he did was hop a little.
"Keep trying," said Mama Bird. "It takes practice."
Little Birdie kept flapping his wings. Flap, flap, flap. Over and over he tried. He flapped his wings faster and faster. Until finally...he was airborne!
"I'm flying, I'm flying!" cheered Little Birdie as he soared up from the nest. It was wobbly at first, but he was flying!
"Great job!" called Mama Bird, watching her baby proudly. Little Birdie happily flew around the tree, then landed back in the nest. He was so proud of himself for learning how to fly just like a big bird!
"See, I knew you could do it," said Mama Bird, giving him a hug with her wing. Little Birdie couldn't wait to keep practicing flying, getting faster and higher each day!
