Once upon a time, there was a hive of busy bees who loved to collect nectar from flowers and turn it into delicious honey. They were very organized and knew exactly how much nectar they needed to make a jar of honey.

One day, a group of bees went out to collect nectar. They collected three cups of nectar from the first flower, four cups from the second flower, and five cups from the third flower. They had collected a total of twelve cups of nectar.

When they returned to the hive, they realized that they needed to share the nectar with the other bees in order to make honey. The queen bee told them that they needed to subtract one cup of nectar for every bee in the hive.

There were eight bees in the hive, so they subtracted eight cups of nectar from the total. They were left with four cups of nectar, which they used to make a jar of honey.

The bees were very proud of their hard work and the delicious honey they had made. They learned that by working together and using addition and subtraction, they could create something wonderful.

The moral of the story is that teamwork and math skills can help us accomplish great things, like making delicious honey!
